Liesel Lund is a professional oil painter who moved to Whidbey Island in 2016 and has her studio in Freeland. She is a member of the American Impressionist Society and Plein Air Painters of Washington. She explores a variety of paint applications to convey the emotion of the moment. In her own words, "My intent is to capture the sense of the place I am painting or my love for the subject in the way the colors dance, and the shapes move. Like an inspirational piece of music that transports you out of your mundane focus, I make art that inspires me in the hope that it will inspire, uplift, and add joy to those around it."
