About Christine Crowell
Christine Crowell is a retired attorney who wishes that she had begun painting as a child. She paints in encaustics, oils, and pastels, and creates colorful glass mosaics. She is largely self-taught but has taken numerous classes from local artists including Katheryn Statts, Mitchell Albala, James Moore, Ann Belov, Deon Matzen, Annette Hanna, Stephanie Schuman and others.
Christine gets her inspiration from the beautiful scenery of Whidbey Island and other natural surroundings. She loves birds and is often intrigued by their grace and silliness. She hopes that her paintings can provide others with inspiration to find their own creative pursuit. Christine states, “painting is the window to my soul and brings me great joy and peace. I believe that everyone can learn more about themselves through the process of creating.” Christine resides in Langley, WA. |
