Do you live on Whidbey Island and want to join a team of creative professionals?  Artworks Gallery occasionally has openings for 2D and 3D artists. Our sales have increased yearly, and we're eager to keep our gallery fresh, vibrant and new!

​The Gallery provides a way for you to share your creativity with the art-loving community in a serene and beautiful space in downtown Langley, Washington, on Whidbey Island.

Langley attracts art collectors from Seattle and the surrounding Puget Sound area. Its recent designation by Washington State as a Creative Arts District will further increase the draw of national and international shoppers and tourists. The gallery strives for a diversity of mediums including painting, photography, fiber, jewelry, wood, glass, sculpture and pottery, and is known for its great gifts and large choice of art cards. As a member/artist owned corporation, all members are expected to participate in management and operation of the gallery. Maintaining membership at an average of 16-18 artists allows for generous display space for both 2-D and 3-D art.

Requirements for Membership:
• Must be a resident of Whidbey Island
• Pay a non-refundable Gallery Joining Fee of $135 (due upon contract signing)
• Pay Gallery Dues, currently $75 per month, payable by the 25th of the preceding month (1st month’s rent due upon contract signing)
• Understand that the gallery’s commission is 15% of sales, and that the gallery collects and pays all applicable sales tax
• Commit to working approximately 2 days per month at the gallery desk
• Attend the monthly First Saturday Art Walk and other special events as often as possible
• Participate in member meetings via Zoom (currently quarterly)
• Must be able to accept and conduct gallery business via email
• Vote on new gallery members
• Serve on the Board or on one or more gallery committees

Committees change with the needs of the gallery. Current committees include Work Hours Scheduling, 2-D Rotation/Wall Allotment, 3-D Rotation/Space Allotment, New Members, Maintenance, Advertising, Publicity, Social Media, Facebook, Website, E-mail, Card Rack Display, Daily Tally, On-Line Store and Supply Ordering.

All applications will be considered as the Gallery's needs allow and may be placed on a wait list for future consideration. After you apply, you will be notified if you will be called for an interview. All applicants are voted upon by the entire Gallery membership.
