Olympic Splendor
The Hunga Tonga Hunga Ha'apai volcano eruption in the South Pacific on Jan 15, 2022, has been described as one of the most powerful in modern history. The eruption propelled ash 30km into the sky. This ash slowly spread around the world. Seven days later, on the evening of January 22nd, the sunset we saw from our Whidbey Island home was stunning. The Olympics were a vibrant majestic purple as the setting sun painted the sky and treetops in coral and crimson splendor. We are all connected.
