This bunny was happily cavorting on the fairgrounds in Langley on Whidbey Island. Most of the bunnies seen there are offspring of past escapees from our annual fairs. They are larger, fluffier, and more colorful than the common cottontail. I was struggling to find a good name for my painting when my husband and I vacationed for a few days on nearby Lopez Island. When I shared photos of my paintings with Katherine, the summer innkeeper, she loved the bunny painting and decided she wanted it for her very own. I knew then I had the name I was searching for. It simply had to be Katherine’s Bunny.
